I’m not supportive of monarchy or any other form of oligarchy either, so it’s immaterial to me to know the new phantom monarch’, who reigns over a nonexistent kingdom. After all, Rwanda is a Republican state, no matter what problems there might be in the management of public affairs. If anyone is nostalgic of the past monarchic system, therefore, let them wait for or create a conducive democratic space to sell their ideas to the Rwandan people in order to have the system approved and restored by way of a referendum. Otherwise, there is no point in enthroning a king when there’s no throne and when the previous king had no power because he simply hardly ever ruled.
